Shane Black co-writes and directs this thriller set in 1970s Los Angeles. Down-on-his-luck private investigator Holland March (Ryan Gosling) is hired to look into the death of adult film star Misty Mountains (Murielle Telio). In the course of his investigation he crosses paths with enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) and the two join forces to find Amelia Kuttner (Margaret Qualley). She is connected to Misty and has gone missing after upsetting some powerful and dangerous people, leaving March and Healy in a desperate race to uncover the truth. The cast also includes Kim Basinger, Angourie Rice and Matt Bomer.
