Eric Roberts stars in this horror comedy thriller written and directed by Larry Cohen. When comic book artist Josh (Roberts) meets Cheryl (Janine Turner) in New York City, he is immediately smitten. However, she falls ill during their conversation and is taken away in an ambulance. Josh fails to find her at any of the hospitals in the city and realises that she has disappeared - and she is not the only one. As he investigates the mysterious ambulance, he uncovers a sinister conspiracy but faces opposition from NYPD Lieutenant Frank Spencer (James Earl Jones) as he risks his life in pursuit of the truth. The cast also includes Megan Gallagher, Red Buttons and Eric Braeden.
