Kurt Russell and Josh Lucas star in this action adventure directed by Wolfgang Petersen. As the guests aboard the luxury ocean liner Poseidon celebrate New Year's Eve, a massive rogue wave approaches the ship. When it hits, the ship capsizes and in the aftermath of the disaster, those left alive attempt to survive and escape. As they make their way through the massive overturned ship they face multiple hazards including falling debris, fire and flooding. Meanwhile, Robert Ramsey (Russell) desperately searches for his daughter Jennifer (Emmy Rossum) and her boyfriend Christian (Mike Vogel). The cast also includes Jacinda Barrett, Richard Dreyfuss and Andre Braugher.
