Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef star in this spaghetti Western directed by Sergio Leone. Bounty hunters the Man With No Name (Eastwood) and Colonel Douglas Mortimer (Van Cleef) are separately hunting the ruthless bandit El Indio (Gian Maria Volonté), who is responsible for multiple bank robberies and murders. After confronting each other, they reluctantly agree to join forces and the Man With No Name earns a place on El Indio's crew as they plan another bank robbery. Will the two men succeed in working together to stop the bandits from continuing their reign of terror? The cast also includes Luigi Pistilli, Mario Brega and Klaus Kinski.
