Collection of three classic crime thrillers. 'Not Guilty' (1947) follows Michel Ancelin (Michel Simon), an alcoholic doctor who kills someone whilst driving drunk. When he succeeds in disguising the crime as an accident, he becomes addicted to the thrill of getting away with murder and proceeds to commit a series of carefully planned killings. 'The Lost One' (1951) is set in the aftermath of WWII when Karl Rothe (Peter Lorre), a doctor who was involved with the Nazi regime, secures a new job in a refugee camp by using a different name. When he receives a new assistant, Hösch (Karl John), he is shocked to recognise his former assistant from his time working for the Nazis and the two men are forced into a difficult relationship with the constant threat of betrayal and death looming over them. Finally, in 'Girl With Hyacinths' (1950), writer Anders Wikner (Ulf Palme) and his wife Britt (Birgit Tengroth) investigate when their mysterious neighbour Dagmar (Eva Henning) commits suicide and leaves them all of her possessions.
