Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley star in this body horror satire written and directed by Coralie Fargeat. When fading star Elisabeth Sparkle (Moore) is fired from her aerobics show by her producer Harvey (Dennis Quaid) on her 50th birthday, she is devastated. After learning about The Substance, an illicit drug that grants users a younger and more perfect version of themselves, she decides to try it and Sue (Qualley) is born. However, there are strict rules governing the use of The Substance and as Elisabeth and Sue vie for control, the consequences of their feud proves devastating.
