Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in this dystopian sci-fi action thriller directed by Paul Michael Glaser. Following the collapse of the global economy, America has become a totalitarian police state. Its citizens are mollified with a steady diet of violent television shows, the most popular being 'The Running Man', where convicts try to earn their freedom by surviving a lethal obstacle course populated with heavily-armed assassins known as Stalkers. When Ben Richards (Schwarzenegger), a police officer framed for a violent massacre, is forced to compete, he enters a fight for his life and uncovers a shocking conspiracy in the process. The cast also includes Maria Conchita Alonso, Yaphet Kotto and Richard Dawson.
