As doctors prove powerless, Chris turns to two priests — the doubting Father Karras (Jason Miller) and the veteran exorcist Father Merrin (Max von Sydow) — in a desperate attempt to save her child from demonic possession. Winner of two Academy Awards and nominated for eight more including Best Picture, it remains one of the most viscerally unsettling films ever made.
